eLance is a freelance writing site where you can apply for writing jobs and translations. It is a free service where freelancers can hook up with people looking for content to be written about particular topics on demand.
My Review
To be dead honest, when this site first came out, I was jumping up and down. Now, not so much. It's a great site for freelance work (like oDesk) but the problem is that there are many writers in third-world countries willing to write for peanuts. And often they do scam and spin the content, so it's very hard to actually secure a deal on eLance. From lots of careful deliberation and work, I have managed to do well (I made over $10k from eLance this year), from building up over a few years, so it doesn't get an entirely bad rating from me. My rating is unlikely to change for eLance.
